floater always visible: should auto-hide when iTunes isn't playing

I have the floater for Synergy configured as a small text-only window on the lower left of my screen, with the fade time set to "never" so it's always visible (I often glance down to see what's playing a minute or two into a song). Works great, but when iTunes is stopped or I've just started up and haven't actually played any music on iTunes yet, it displays "iTunes status: not playing".

It'd be way cool if that had a separate smart timeout so that once it displayed that for a few seconds the display would fade away, ready to show up again once I start playing music.

Possible?

Now that we have Mountain Lion, it also would be nice to see Synergy tie into the Notifications system. Just sayin'.. :-)
